- Filipino secret songers wow K-Pop Stars in “I Can See Your Voice” Korea
- SEE-nger’s performance hits 2 million views on YouTube
Two secret songers from “I Can See Your Voice” Philippines surprised Korean viewers, including guest K-pop stars, as they graced the new season premiere of the hit mystery music game show in Korea.
Sephy Francisco’s performance in the pilot episode became viral online after he left celebrity K-pop group Block B and “Running Man” star Kim Jong Kook speechless when he sang both the male and female parts of the popular duet song “The Prayer.”
The said video became the number one trending video on YouTube and has earned more than two million views.
Although he didn’t make it until the end of the game, Sephy was still grateful for the opportunity to fly to Korea, be part of the show, and stand side-by-side with secret songers from other countries.
“It’s really been my dream to be here in Korea and I experienced a lot of firsts here. I experienced snow. It’s also the very first time I got a passport,” Sephy said in a quick interview after his performance.
The Filipino secret songer, who was first seen on “I Can See Your Voice” Philippines as ‘Tigil Patrol’ with Jessa Zaragosa as the guest star, also got emotional as he shared how singing helps him support his family.
“I am the breadwinner of my family, and I am the only one who is earning right now. Because of my voice, I was able to earn money for my family. We used to be very poor. I really want to pursue my dreams to become a singer and inspire others,” he added.
Aside from Sephy, SEEN-tunado Johh Lee was also given the opportunity to be part of “ICSYV” in Korea and drew loud cheers from the audience when he sang a Korean song out of tune. He was first seen on PH TV as secret songer ‘Kimchi Nadal’ with Jed Madela as the celebrity guest star.
Don’t miss “I Can See Your Voice,” airing every Saturday and Sunday, 9:30 PM, on ABS-CBN.
