- “Discovering Routes” was also just recently named finalist in the Travel Series category of the Cynopsis Short Form Video Awards.
“Discovering Routes,” an original series produced by ABS-CBN Global Studios, that follows people to their lands of ancestry in search of epic adventures, has been named finalist in four of the digital categories at the Cablefax Digital and Tech Awards. Cablefax honors outstanding web sites, digital initiatives and people in the industry that are driving the digital media revolution.

“Discovering Routes” Executive Producer Keesa Ocampo leads the team that is up against veteran cable and satellite channels like USA, AMC, Lifetime, History and even NBA Digital. Ocampo shares that “It’s a humbling honor for the collective talent of our team to stand alongside these network giants, who at one point, also started small but with big dreams. That’s where I think we are. We’re all storytellers and while telling each one is a big responsibility we share, this moment teaches us that as content creators, the learning never stops.”
ABS-CBN Global COO Olivia De Jesus said that the Cablefax announcement is a great way to start 2018 as “this substantiates our efforts in creating content for the important millennial demographic.” De Jesus further stresses the importance of (their efforts) saying that “Digital content targeting a huge portion of the critical (millennial) generation is really changing the game, and we have to keep abreast if we want to stay relevant.”

The Cablefax Digital and Tech Awards Luncheon will be on March 6, 2018, at the Yale Club in New York City. The industry event salutes the best and brightest execs from the world of cable, online video and technology.
