- He had been in showbiz for fifty years.
- He expressed his gratitude to the management and ABS-CBN Corporation on still trusting him as an actor.
In the recent Thanksgiving Media Conference, Dante Rivero gave his own words of wisdom to aspiring actors and actresses. He had also managed to accumulate as many lessons as he can in more than his fifty years in showbiz.
In the said media conference, he shared his knowledge and advice to aspiring young actors who decide to step into the limelight.
In the said conference, Dante acknowledged that young actors today come and go quickly. He also added that he thinks loving the profession would be the best thing to do. He continued that an actor should show everyone that he or she remains tough.
Dante advised hopefuls that he or she should show everyone how good they really are.
“Between noon atsaka ngayon, ‘yung kasing bracket namin noon, tumatagal. Mas matagal ang magiging parang buhay. Unlike, sad to say, sa ngayon, ang bilis ng takbo kasi. ‘Yung mga artista mabilis sumikat tapos after few years, medyo bumababa, bumababa. So, palagay ko, the best thing to do is: mahalin mo talaga ‘yung propesyon mo, ipakita sa mga nanunuod na talagang you’re tough, na magaling ka talaga. That’s the way to stay long.”
Dante further advised that they should love their job and it will also eventually love them back. He also expressed his gratitude to the management and ABS-CBN Corporation on still trusting him as an actor.
Dante then ended that young actors should show their viewers how they good they are. He also advised that viewers will love them if they do.
“‘Wag kang pasaway ika nga. Love your job and your job love will love you. Ganun lang ‘yun. Maging mabait ka sa management, sa lahat, sa company na pinagtatrabahuhan mo, sa ABS-CBN. Kagaya ko, nagpapasalamat ako sa kanila up to now, I’m still here. Maraming salamat din sa inyo. Palagay ko, ayun lang masasabi ko. Kung talagang magaling ka, alam ng nanunuod ‘yun and they will love you more.”
Dante currently stars in The Blood Sisters which Erich Gonzales top-bills. The Blood Sisters stars Enchong Dee, Ejay Falcon, Cherry Pie Picache, Dina Bonnevie, Tessie Tomas and Pilar Pilapil among others.
