Inside every woman who’s hurting, is a heart that’s hoping. Or laughing? Filipino celebrity Angelica Panganiban is known for being vocal about her hilarious sentiments on heartaches, oftentimes candidly sharing her own experiences.
She picked “Beau Ang” as her pseudonym simply because she’s popular for her rather sarcastic and bitter lines about love and breakups. After much presence on TV and in social media, Angelica decided that she’s actually inspiring people who are fellow heart-broken to move on little by little through her humor.
Hence, the birth of “Para Kay Ex,” which aims to reach those who have experienced the pain of losing someone—be it an ex-best friend, an ex-boss, an ex-lover or someone who was never yours in the first place. Beau Ang’s book allows its readers to mourn, express their anger, and cope up with pain though activities with funny twists.
“Marami nang libro tungkol sa kung papaano mag-heal ng broken heart. Palaging nakakaligtaan ‘yung reason kung bakit mo ginagawa ‘yun in the first place—dahil nasaktan ka, nagalit, nalungkot, umiyak, nagtanong. Itong librong ito ang nagbigay sa akin ng freedom to be angry, to accept my pain,” Angelica shares.
According to Beau, it’s about time that people DO SOMETHING ABOUT their pain. Her book will bring back the readers’ motivation in life and hopefully restore their perspective about love.
“Ito ang activity book na pupukaw sa damdamin mong nahihilo, nalilito, at ang magpapalaklak sa’yo ng realidad na oo nga pala hindi naman pala kayo. Pinaglaruan ka niya noon, pwes ikaw na ang maglalaro ngayon!”
This coming Saturday, the Filipino writer will launch her debut book at National Book Store in Trinoma.
