Maine Mendoza usually appears with Paolo Ballesteros, Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola in Eat Bulaga‘s segment, Juan for All, All for Juan. On February 10, Saturday, she appeared with Alden Richards for the episode’s opening number. Many AlDub fans rejoiced as this became the first time in several months they appeared together in the show.
The love team participated as panel members for the Music Hero: The Ultimate Vocal Battle Grand Finals.
In November 2017, Maine wrote and posted an open letter on her blog. In the said letter, she wrote how she couldn’t bear the thought how some fans think they can own her. The only relationship she has with Alden would be friendship.
Then, Alden and Maine took a leave of absence from Eat Bulaga!
At the time, Alden’s family rushed him to the hospital due to food poisoning. While Maine took a month-long break from showbiz. Although Alden was back on the show by December 2017, he left again to celebrate Christmas with his family in Japan.
Maine only returned to the show on January 1 for its New Year’s Day special.
