ABS-CBN’s digital creative content head Sierra Kris Borlongan was named one of this year’s Young Market Master awardees by the leading training and consultancy company Mansmith and Fielders, Inc. at its 13th Young Market Master Awards (YMMA) held recently.
Borlongan is among this year’s eleven awardees, who are all 35 years old and below, selected by Mansmith and Fielders, Inc. for formulating and implementing responsive and creative marketing and sales strategies for businesses. She was selected for her achievements in digital marketing and inspiring young people “to be innovative entrepreneurs and outstanding brand builders.”
She is the brains behind ABS-CBN’s award-winning digital campaigns, including the website OTWOLISTA.com, which sustained the fans’ loyalty to the teleserye “On the Wings of Love” even after it had ended. The project won Gold at the Anvil Awards.
Borlongan also led the team behind the Spark Awards-winning “Pinoy Big Brother Online Bahay ni Kuya,” which expanded the “PBB” experience for viewers by allowing them to perform Big Brother’s challenges as online housemates.
During Pope Francis’ visit in the country in 2016, Borlongan headed an inspired digital campaign that collected heartfelt messages of gratitude from Filipinos that were compiled into a Book of Thanks, which was personally handed to the Pope as a gift from the Philippines. The campaign won a Platinum Anvil Award.
Borlongan has also successfully steered her team to create success not just for ABS-CBN but for other brands, such as Revlon, with the “Love is On” campaign that increased awareness of its products, as well as McDonald’s with the #McDoBonfries campaign, which enabled students and alumni to be more involved in the 2016 UAAP Cheerdance Competition online.
Before Borlongan, ABS-CBN’s OIC-head of digital media division Elaine Uy was named a YMMA awardee in 2016.
