It can be recalled that in June last year, Kapuso artist Ryza Cenon left GMA Artists Center (GAA) to sign with Viva Artists Agency (VAA). According to her, she made this decision in order to widen her career’s horizons and be exposed more in the film.
Seven months later, the 30-year-old actress is now going to headline a romantic-comedy film directed by Sigrid Bernardo, who is one of the brains of the box-office hit “Kita Kita.” Together with co-Viva talent JC Santos, Ryza will be starring in her first-ever mainstream film on “Mr. and Mrs. Cruz.”
During their grand media press conference last night, Ryza told the press about her transition from being in GAC to VAA.
“‘Nung pumirma po ako ng Viva, nagpaalam ako ng maayos sa GMA Artist Center and GMA pa rin po ako, still Kapuso,” she starts. “Okay naman po ‘yung process and everything sa paglipat ko sa Viva, inaalagan naman po nila ako.”
As for her other and future projects, Ryza revealed that she there are movies on the works but are yet to be announced. She said that she still needs to check once presented to her.
“Mr. and Mrs. Cruz,” by Viva Films and IdeaFirst Company will be showing starting January 24 in cinemas nationwide.
