Martin del Rosario will star as the new Barbs in Born Beautiful, the spin-off series of 2016 MMFF film Die Beautiful. He replaced Christian Bables as the best friend of the lead role since he will not be available for filming. Born Beautiful will air on Cignal Entertainment in early 2018. Paolo Ballesteros plays Trisha Echevarria.
Martin also recently got a painful wax treatment for the role. In a recent Instagram Story post, he shared the experience with his followers. “The things i have to go through for #BornBeautiful Soon!” He wrote as a caption the said photo.
Martin had to remove the hair on his armpits, back, arms and legs. In another photo, he wrote: “The things i have to go through for #BornBeautiful Soon!” And then, he added: “#thepainisreal”
The painful wax treatment seemed to make him cry. In another photo, he wrote: “The things i have to go through for #BornBeautiful Soon!”
Martin will star in a GMA drama series which will replace Haplos, Hindi Ko Kayang Iwan Ka as Lawrence de Leon. The said series will star Yasmien Kurdi, Mike Tan and Jackie Rice.
