In a recent Rated K episode, Mark Anthony Fernandez revealed suicidal thoughts while in prison. He spent more than a year in Angeles, Pampanga in October 2016 due to illegal possession of marijuana. He also denied rumors that he impregnated two policewomen while behind the bars. His release became official before Christmas.
In the said interview, Mark shared that he reached a point that he wanted to commit suicide while in prison.
“Opo. Hindi ko ma-accept yung nangyari kasi sabi ko inosente po ako. Hindi po ako dapat nandito.”
While in prison, Mark talked to his father who passed away in 2008.
“Kinakausap ko yung Papa ko. Sabi ko Pa, tulungan niyo akong makalabas dito. Sabihin niyo po kay God, tulungan akong makalabas dito. Mahal na mahal ko si Papa.”
He admitted that being away from his loved ones turned out to be the hardest thing for him to endure.
“Naalala mo kung kamusta ang asawa mo, ang mama mo. Kasi ikaw dapat nag-aalaga nun. Yung alam mong nahihirapan ang pamilya mo sa labas.”
Mark had a chance to give a message to all.
“Lagi niyong uunahin ang pamilya at lagi niyo dapat sentro si God. With regard naman sa marijuana, ‘wag na lang din nilang subukan kasi illegal yun sa ngayon.”
