Lea Salonga recently reacted on Mocha Uson’s geographic mistake on Twitter last January 24, Wednesday. Mayon Volcano, located in Albay, Bicol, spewed more ash and lava on the said day. In the said Twitter post, Lea wrote that nobody can change geography.
In the said tweet, Lea wrote:
“With all due respect, we can’t change geography. That is all.”
However, some of her followers didn’t understand what she talked about.
“You’re a great singer… And, wonderful performer.… But, is anybody supposed to know just what the hell you’re talking about?!”
A Filipino netizen told him what went on behind Lea’s tweet.
“A public official in the Philippines made this video about an erupting volcano called Mayon. However, she didn’t realize that the location of the volcano she mentioned is so wrooooooong. RIP GEOGRAPHY”
The netizen finally understood it and thanked the said netizen.
“Ahh… Thank you. :)”
Lea apologized for not clarifying her said tweet.
“My apologies, I should’ve clarified. But yes, apparently a currently active volcano moved from one province to another. If a correction was made, fabulous. At least the error was admitted.”
However, Lea applauded Mocha for admitting her mistake. She further shared her thoughts on DENGVAXIA as a parent.
