Heart Evangelista and Alexander Lee’s primetime series “My Korean Jagiya” is ending next week on January 12 after a five-month run.
Started airing on August 21, “My Korean Jagiya” had a lukewarm start with only 6.6% versus “A Love To Last’s” 6.2% on AGB Nielsen while on Kantar Media, “My Korean Jagiya” was beaten by “A Love To Last” on its pilo 10.2% to 16.8%.
Even with its latest rival “The Good Son,” “My Korean Jagiya” registered a TV rating of 6.1% compared to “The Good Son’s” pilot episode rating of 6.3% on AGB Nielsen on September 25. While on Kantar Media, “The Good Son” garnered a national TV rating of 18.1%, compared to its rival show “My Korean Jagiya” that only got 10.9%.
Viewers are also curious as to what will happen with the love triangle between Janice de Belen, Ricky Davao and Raymart Santiago, a zany subplot in the show that made viewers glued to it night after night.
“My Korean Jagiya” is expected to be replaced by “The One That Got Away” on GMA Telebabad beginning January 15.
