Ruru Madrid will star in an upcoming GMA Network television show titled Sherlock Jr. The network recently published a teaser for the said show on YouTube on January 8, Monday.
The teaser featured Ruru with a certain Golden Retriever, Siri.
Sherlock Jr. would also be GMA’s new ammunition for ABS-CBN’s FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano which stars Coco Martin as SPO2 Cardo Dalisay. The crime-action series started airing September 28, 2015 and still has ongoing episodes on air. Naturally, GMA brought out series after series hoping to top against FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
Dingdong Dantes’ Alyas Robin Hood started airing in September 2016. Then, it made a comeback in August 2017 which later became GMA’s product against Ang Probinsyano. However, ABS-CBN remained supreme. Alyas Robin Hood ended and concluded in the same year on November 24, 2017.
Before the bow-and-arrow-carrying hero-vigilante made its return, GMA created a comeback for a fantasy-series. Encantadia premiered on July 18, 2016. Although, at some point, it succeeded in pulling viewers from FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano to Encantadia. However, it ended and concluded May 19, 2017.
Super Ma’am premiered on September 18, 2017. Originally titled as The Good Teacher, Super Ma’am stars Marian Rivera and it became GMA’s ammunition against FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. Unfortunately, it will soon end in weeks.
