As of 2018, former Miss International Queen Sabel Gonzales returned to his real name, Mark Estephen. He never underwent sex reassignment surgery and took his testament to Facebook. He also added in his bio that he remains a Christ-committed Follower.
Mark, then, changed his profile photo on the said social networking site where he wrote: “It’s 2018, and I found my true happiness in life from Our Lord Jesus Christ. 🙂🙏🏻 only God can change to you and to me .. so accept and follow Jesus now as our savior and repent from our sins. He is the only way , the truth and the life to be with the Father and to be in heaven. 🙏🏻”
Mark claimed that living as a remained a human desire and would want to live through God’s desire. In a photo he uploaded, he also wrote: “(2 Corinthians 5:17)’Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.'”
In another post, he shared that he had found his real freedom through God. He added and wrote: “I am free and I found my real FREEDOM, LOVE, EQUALITY, RESPECT , and ACCEPTANCE for being who I am and what I am because of JESUS!!➕🙂🙏🏻 (Galatians 5:1) ‘It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not be encumbered once more by a yoke of slavery.'”
As Sabel, he used to be a part of SLAY Model Management, an all-transgender modeling agency. Sabel used to be one of the Top 10 semi-finalists at the Miss International Queen pageant in Pattaya, Thailand.
