MMFF 2017 Best Director, Paul Soriano talked about Kris Aquino defended Erich Gonzales from bashers who are accusing her as his alleged mistress. The 36-year old director believed that it was just a natural reaction for Kris upon hearing accusations against her friends and loved ones.
“Miss Kris and Erich are very close also. Actually, she’s [Kris] been very supportive of “Siargao” even before. I think it’s a natural reaction. Of course, there’s a lot of people out there who like to bash, but they don’t have any concrete facts,” he said.
The award-winning director also said that he is not affected by the consistent infidelity rumors involving him and Erich.
“No, naman,” Direk Paul answered when asked if he gets affected by these kinds of rumors.
In fact, Direk Paul revealed that he and his wife Toni Gonzaga laughed this kind of issues.
“Honestly, Tin and I, we laugh about it because we’re very secure. The trust is there. To be honest with you, we would rather play with our little boy [Seve] than read all the unnecessary hate that comes our way,” he said.
Direk Paul said that rumors are part of the industry so he is not affected by these.
“It’s part of the industry. I think every actor, actress, filmmaker goes through that. For me, maybe we can acknowledge it, but it doesn’t affect me ‘coz we know the truth, di ba?” he ended.
On September 30, 2016, Toni gave birth to their first child, Seve Elliot.
