Julia Montes recently became the Daytime Drama Queen. In an interview in Tonight with Boy Abunda, she reacted on being dubbed as this generation said the queen. She became emotional and admitted that it is both flattering and embarrassing. Boy revealed that he, and everyone else, is proud of what she accomplished.
Julia revealed how she feels about the epithet in a very short statement.
“Nahihiya pa rin po.”
However, she elaborated on the reason why she is not very comfortable with the given title:
“Napakaswerte ko pa rin po. Lagi ko nga pong sinasabi with Dreamscape, ABS-CBN, sa lahat ng nagtitiwala po sa’kin, every time na may sinasabi po sa aking papuri po or kahit na ano po sa ginagawa kong trabaho, lagi pong bumabalik sa akin ‘yung nagsimula po ako.”
Boy Abunda lovingly told her that he is proud of what she has accomplished which made her emotional.
“Embrace it kasi pinaghirapan mo ‘yan. You make us proud.”
Julia currently stars in an action-drama-revenge series, Asintado with Shaina Magdayao, Paulo Avelino and Aljur Abrenica.
