Since the “StarStruck Season 6”, Kapuso newbie actress Ayra Mariano has been teamed up with Elyson de Dios. The young love team was featured on the short-lived family comedy-drama “Poor Señorita.”
However, it seems that Ayra is now on her solo flight with her career after Elyson decided to stop from showbiz to finish his studies in Cebu.
In an interview with Philstar.com, Ayra said that she understands Elyson’s decision in prioritizing his studies.
“Tatapusin na raw muna ni Elyson ang pag-aaral niya sa Cebu. Okey lang ‘yun sa akin kasi ang parents na niya ang nag-decide.
“Nakakapanghinayang lang dahil nagsimula na kami sa team-up namin noong nasa StarStruck pa kami. Tapos ginawa namin ang Poor Señorita. Sayang lang pero kung ang school naman ang reason, I understand po,” Ayra said.
Despite having no love team partner, Ayra is still thankful for the projects on GMA Network. She also said that she wants to work with other Kapuso young leading men, Ken Chan, Jeric Gonzales and Addy Raj.
“Okey naman po ang career kahit solo muna po ako. Hindi naman po ako nawawalan ng work. Tsaka, gusto ko pong makatrabaho ang ibang mga boys ng GMA 7 like sina Ken Chan, Addy Raj, Jeric Gonzales at marami pang iba,” she said.
Ayra also said that she wants to be tagged as a versatile actress of her generation.
“Siguro mas okey din na wala na muna akong ka-loveteam. Para mas marami akong roles na gawin at ma-test po ang ability ko as an actress,” she said.
