In the January 2, 2018 episode of the longest running noontime show in Philippine TV, ‘Pambansang Bae’ Alden Richards celebrated his 26th birthday with an intense production number.
The Kapuso actor urged everyone to stop the hate and start to see things positively as his birthday wish.
“Ang wish ko lang po talaga, sana po matapos na ‘yung hate. Matanggal na ‘yung hate sa puso ng mga tao kasi ang daming puwedeng ipagpasalamat araw-araw na hindi natin nakikita ‘yung kamalian ng iba at sabi nga nu’ng nag-text sa akin kaninang umaga, do more whatever makes you happy. 2018 will be big for all of us,” he said.
Alden also shared that he received a video taken 20 years ago as a gift from his cousin was shared by Daddy Bae on Instagram. It can be seen in the video the little Alden during their celebration of Christmas with her late mother two decades ago.
“Nakakatuwa kasi parang last Christmas, niregaluhan ako. May regalo ‘yung pinsan ko, video, old video ng Pasko namin, siguro mga twenty years ago. So nakita po ‘yon sa social media, in-upload ng tatay ko. Yun po ‘yung unang video na nakita ko ‘yung nanay ko, for the longest time,” he said.
Alden became teary-eyed when he shared a message for his late mother.
“Ma, siyempre, everyday naman, nagdarasal ako, lagi kitang kinakausap na sayang pa rin na you didn’t get the chance to experience these.
“Basta grateful ako na binigyan mo ako ng chance na mabuhay sa mundo. Grateful ako dahil sa’yo, marami akong buhay na nata-touch and nakapagbibigay ng kaligayahan so Ma, kung nasaan ka man, everyday is a day with you and everyday, I celebrate you as part of all of these. I love you Ma,” he said.
