In an exclusive interview with PEP.ph, GMA Senior Vice President of Entertainment Lilybeth Rasonable confirmed Alden Richards will star in a new teleserye on GMA Network soon.
Lilybeth validated, “Alden will be back on prime-time, I think na-announce na yun. Pinaghahandaan na yun.”
Although she didn’t deny nor confirm that Maine will be included in the said series, she clarified that the said project currently undergoing conceptualization stage.
“Actually, we’re just doing the concept pa, so hindi ko masabi kung anong klase siya, kung meron ba siyang partner dun, may love interest ba siya dun, hindi ko talaga masabi. Talagang binubuo pa lang, and we’re brainstorming. We want to brainstorm with him.”
She added that they already had a meeting with Alden.
“We’ve met him already and presented what we wanted for him and he really liked it and he appreciated the fact that we wanted to also get his ideas. Kasi siyempre, pagbabalik niya ito sa primetime after Destined so we want him to be involved in it.”
Lilybeth also continued that the two still remain as friends amid speculations that Alden and Maine’s love team will no longer exist.
“They’re still good. Alden still has shown his support of Maine and Maine din. They are good friends, they are a love team and there’s nothing wrong with that.”
