Viva Films is ready for 2018!
It has already unveiled the first batch of movie offering. Seven films are expected to invade the Philippine Cinema this incoming year and will feature new and existing love teams in the showbiz industry.
First on the list, ‘Mr. and Mrs. Cruz’ starring JC Santos and Ryza Cenon to hit the cinemas on January 24. The ‘hugot’ movie will serve as the first project of JC and Ryza as a love team.
On the other hand, this will be the first movie project of the Kapuso actress after signing with an exclusive management contract with Viva Artist Agency.
The hit Korean movie ‘Miss Granny’ will have its Philippine adaptation titled ’20 Again’. The film will feature ‘Popstar Princess’ Sarah Geronimo as the lead actress of the comedy-drama flick.
It was also reported that Kapamilya actor James Reid will play the grandson of Sarah in the movie. However, the expected play date is yet to be announced.
Direk Joyce Bernal will have another movie under Viva starring Bela Padilla and Carlo Aquino, titled ‘Meet Me in St. Gallen’. The movie will be shot in Switzerland.
According to Bela, the film will be extra sweet and a ‘real’ love story.
“Napaka-sweet and real na love story,” she described in her interview with ABS-CBN News.
This incoming year, JaDine love team is set to make their big screen comeback via ‘Never Not Love You’. The movie will be the reunion project of James Reid and Nadine Lustre with their ‘On the Wings Of Love’ director Antoinette Jadaone.
The much-awaited action movie of Anne Curtis is also included in the list. Helmed by award-winning director Erik Matti, the movie will also feature MMA Champion Brandon Vera. It was reported that the movie has only three remaining shooting days before completion.
Yassi Pressman and Sam Milby movie ‘Ang Pambansang Third Wheel’ is also set to capture the hearts of Filipino viewers anytime soon.
