Vice Ganda admitted he felt nervous about who would make 2017’s Metro Manila Film Festival lineup. He also shared the tense moments he had while hosting “It’s Showtime” at the time of the announcement.
He also added that he felt grateful that Gandarrapido: The Revenger Squad made the cut.
Vice shared he was tensed when the committee announced the lineup.
“Noong araw na yun na i-a-announce na, eh live kami sa It’s Showtime, yung tingin ako ng tingin sa Twitter. Ano ba yan naabala ako, hindi ako ma-brief ng maayos kasi may inaabangan ako sa Twitter. Nakaka-tense, parang announcement ng semi-finals ngMiss Universe ganon.”
Vice continued that he was glad for making the cut. He also shared that he jokes about the film’s potential box office standing.
“Ako niloloko ko sila lagi P1 billion. Kasi powerful ang words eh, malay mo ibigay. Eh di kung hindi, eh di thank you pa rin. May ibibigay pa rin naman kahit paano. Wala namang masama dun, lagi nalang tayong mag-claim ng maganda at positive.”
Gandarrapido: The Revenger Squad also stars Daniel Padilla and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzback. It will be in cinemas nationwide starting Christmas, December 25.
