Ruru Madrid is currently filming Sherlock Jr. with Gabbi Garcia and Janine Gutierrez. The said teleserye will be a GabRu love team reunion project and will feature a four-year-old golden retriever, Serena. Ruru admitted that he used to have a fear of dogs prior to filming the show.
Ruru admitted that he used to get so scared of dogs. But when it comes to Serena, he couldn’t help himself to hug her. During an interview with Lhar Santiago in 24 Oras, he stated:
“Dati, takot na takot ako. Pero ‘pag nilalapitan niya (Serena) ako, parang ‘di ko mapigilan ‘yung sarili ko na yakapin siya.”
Ruru also posted a photo on Instagram with Janine and Serena. With the caption:
“First taping day! Hello daw sabi ni Siri 🐶 and Irene!@iamserenatheexplorer , @janinegutierrez”
Ruru will play a news reporter always in danger because of the stories he broadcasts. During the same interview, Ruru also shared his perspective on his character and said:
“Ano, ako dito, eh. Basta justice ‘yun (ang importante) sa akin. Ayoko ng patiwali. Kapag may mga problemang ganyan, gusto ko lahat patas.”
