“Eat Bulaga!” host Ruby Rodriguez recently received negative comments on her latest social media post. The 51-year old TV host denied that her ‘loyalty’ post refers to Maine Mendoza.
On her Instagram post, Ruby shared a photo of her new smartphone with a message about ‘loyalty.’ Some netizens, especially Maine’s fans speculated that the post was referred to the ‘Phenomenal Star.’
“Loyalty is not a sign of weakness but of true character (emoji) it shall not go unrewarded (emoji) Thank you Globe, Christmas is here (emoji)” Ruby wrote in her caption.
Prior to Ruby’s post, rumors started to spread like fire that Maine will transfer to ABS-CBN. In connection to this, some netizens assumed that Ruby threw a shade on her “Eat Bulaga!” co-host.
The said post was also shared on her Twitter account and netizens expressed their thoughts to her.
“If was written in black and white sa contract na bawal iyon, then meng needs disciplinary action. Pero wag niyong iterminate. Habang binabash siya ng tao dahil sa ginawa ni uno…sana pinag tanggol niyo man lang as old timers na dito sa business na ito,” @emipao52 wrote.

Twitter user @glean_miles replied, “Loyalty is nt smthng u do bec you choose it. Meron dn na kelngn ilet go lalo na pg may nako compromise n or smthng. You cn choose loyalty sa EB, op kors ksi d ka nmn dn kasing in demand ni maine. Sory. Just sayin.”
Meanwhile, Ruby posted a message that was directly reported to answer her bashers regarding the controversial ‘loyalty’ quote.
“Omg!! Ok lang kayo? Globe Loyalty program ang post but kailangan lagyan ng meaning!!???!!” she explained.
Ruby also left a comment on her IG post, “Dont put any other meaning sa post po. Thats a loyalty program ng Globe.”
