The 47-year old singer-actress acknowledged the “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” as currently the longest-running show for two years now.
During their concert in Los Angeles Theater, ‘Asia’s Songbird’ Regine Velasquez cracked a joke about Coco Martin’s character in hit teleserye “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.” The 46-year old singer-actress threw funny remarks on the defunct shows pitted against the Coco Martin-starrer.
A YouTube channel named John Avein uploaded a video of Ogie and Regine’s funny banters during the concert. At first, Ogie explained that there is no issue between him and his wife Regine to be part of different networks. Suddenly, the award-winning singer butted in with her witty jokes that made the crowd burst into laughter.
“Uy, pero teka lang, ha, kukwestiyunin ko lang si Coco,” she interrupted Ogie.
Ogie asked her, “Bakit? Coco Martin?”
“Alam mo, pinagdududahan ko na ‘yan si Coco Martin, e,” she answered.
Ogie insisted to his wife, “Lalaking lalaki si Coco Martin ah!”
Regine explained to Ogie, “Alam kong lalaking lalaki siya, walang kaduda duda dun. Ang pinagdududahan ko ha, kasi yung mga Encantado, nangamatay lahat yun, e. Mga Encantado na yun, e!
“Ako nga, Inang Reyna ako, goddess ako, namatay ako, e! Si Coco hanggang ngayon, buhay pa! Paki-explain!”
The whole crowd howl with laughter with Regine’s punchline.
In the past, Regine’s show “Poor Senorita,” and “Mulawin VS. Ravena” was competed head-to-head with Coco. One of the shows featured her as ‘goddess of nature’ named Sandawa.
