Paul Soriano and Jasmine Curtis recently shared a separate tweet to wish for more cinemas to feature Siargao. Paul and Jasmine published their tweets on the same day last December 26, Wednesday. Malls started pulling out “Siargao,” a 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival entry.
Paul wrote on the said tweet, a simple hashtag:
“#moreCinemasForSIARGAO”
Moreover on Jasmine’s tweet, she wrote a simple request to have equal cinemas which featured all the film.
“Thank you to everyone that’s gone out and seen @siargaothemovie!! Wishing everyone has equal numbers of cinema screenings para lahat ng pelikula may chance mapanuod ng film goers. Nonetheless, still thankful “
Netizens also reacted negatively on the said issue. Moreover, one requested everyone to value both “Ang Larawan” and “Siargao” in the Philippine Cinema.
“Ang Larawan and Siargao must be valued in the Philippine Cinema. Though, the ‘expected’ frontliners were dominant in Theater, we must atleast learn to appreciate movies like the two given. I am just hoping that people might see the essence and moral of every movies.”
Veteran director encourage moviegoers to find the time to watch other worthwhile entries.
