This 2018, GMA Network will offer the revenge-drama teleserye “Contessa” however the said series is already making noise online. Starring Kapuso versatile actress Glaiza de Castro, netizens began to compare the new Kapuso show to another revenge-themed drama “Wildflower.”
With the similarities of “Contessa” to Maja Salvador teleserye, some netizens accused the Kapuso show being copycat of the hit ABS-CBN teleserye.
“Ayan na! Haha! Pati sa teaser photo, parang naka green siya. Pero okay lang yan. Walang nang makakapantay sa Wildflower. They can try but they’ll never achieve the level and status Wildflower has attained.”
“Taray yung arrive ng Contessa parang Wildflower. Well, gaya-gaya naman talaga ang GMA.”
Nevertheless, some netizens also believe that “Contessa” will be different despite having the same concept.
“And di lang wildflower may theme na revenge. Most of ph dramas. Iba iba lang sa story and execution. Kung makaano sila. And for sure tatalbugan yan ng contessa.”
