- Derek Ramsay and Joanna Ampil won big at the 43rd Metro Manila Film Festival.
Joanna Ampil takes home the best actress award, opposite Derek Ramsay who bagged the best actor award at the awards night held on Wednesday (December 27) at the Kia Theater in Cubao, Quezon City.
Meanwhile, “Siargao” bagged the most number of awards. It won best best film editor, best cinematography, best original theme song (Alon by Hale), best sound and best director (Paul Soriano) this year.
The best supporting actress and actor went to Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Edgar Allan Guzman, for the films “Siargao” and “Deadma Walking” respectively.
Named best picture is “Ang Larawan.” Second in line is “Siargao,” while the third best picture is “All Of You.”
