With his wide knowledge of TV programming, GMA Network’s First Vice President for Program Management Jose Mari R. Abacan was chosen to be part of a panel of jurors at the 45th International Emmy Awards.
Held last November 20 at the Hilton Hotel in New York City, the GMA executive evaluated entries from TV Movie/Mini-series category.
Prior to this, he previously participated as a juror in the Final Round of Judging for the comedy category in 2013 and 2011; and for the TV Movie/Mini-Series category in 2010 and 2007.
“It is a great honor to be given another opportunity to participate in screening high-quality programs from different countries alongside other respected executives from the international television industry. Also, being a juror does not only give me pride to represent GMA Network but it has also been a learning experience for me to further broaden my perspectives in TV programming,” he shared.
On the other hand, Kapamilya actor Zanjoe Marudo was nominated for Best Actor in a Single Performance and fantasy-drama anthology “Wansapanatym” also earned a nod in the said award-giving body.
The International Emmy Awards, which is considered as the Oscars of the TV industry, is an annual event organized by The International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
