The winning tandem of Jennylyn Mercado and Derek Ramsey comes back in a much bolder and more mature big screen offering. The most romantic official entry in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival, “All Of You.”
The winning trio of Jen, Derek and Director Dan Villegas returns in the 2017 MMFF. This time, with a more hilarious and more feel-good project. The movie surrounds two souls, Gab (Derek) and Gabby (Jen), with conflicting views on love and marriage. Gab and Gabby love each other so much enough to make a serious commitment. Theirs was a happy relationship until they mark their third year as a couple. Will they choose to continue their romance or will they opt to simply part ways?
Gab and Gabby met using a dating app in Taiwan. However, Jennylyn and Derek admitted they never used any dating apps.
Included in the star-studded cast with Derek and Jen: Solenn Heusaff, Rafael Rosell and Sam Milby. Others in the cast are Yayo Aguila, Kean Cipriano and Nico Antonio. Also, Via Antonio, Hannah Ledesma and Milo Elmido. Including, Enzo Marcos, Kelvin Yu and Kate Alejandrino.
Jen and Derek really have an undeniable chemistry, especially in sizzling scenes that viewers will most likely to see in the said movie. Direk Dan was the director of the indie movie, “Mayohan,” which starred Lovi Poe. That initial Jen-Derek team-up proved highly successful that it bagged for them major acting awards such as the “Best Actress” and the “Best Actor” trophies respectively. “English Only, Please” also earned Direk Dan the “Best Director” plum. While the movie was named as the festival’s second “Best Picture”.
Direk Dan and Antoinette Jadaone took home the “Best Story” award as well; Marya Ignacio was adjudged as the “Best Editor”. Jadaone and Anj Pessumal were recognized for “Best Screenplay”. Moreover, Darren Espanto’s youthful rendition of the theme song, “Dying Inside (To Hold You)” and the original song, “Natapos Na,” created by Jen’s best friend Nar Cabico of GMA-7, adds a sweet and unique flavor to “All Of You.”
