Even though Metro Manila Film Festival Executive Committee didn’t release the box office gross on the first day of MMFF. Vice Ganda’s “Gandarrapido: The Revenger Squad” still became a certified blockbuster.
Vice Ganda had a huge pull in the public. It even helped that Daniel Padilla and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach participated in the said film. The trio won the People’s Choice Award in the awards night.
Fans of Daniel and Kathryn Bernardo supported “Gandarrapido: The Revenger Squad” which turns out as Pia’s first acting job after Miss Universe 2015. Although to some, Pia’s acting could be passable but not award-able.
Pia used to play small roles as an aspiring actress before she became Miss Universe. This has been her fifth movie project.
