Recently, a video went viral wherein a young lady driver fearlessly slapped an old taxi driver due to an altercation. Veteran director Jose Javier Reyes reacted to the incident upon watching the viral video.
The 63-year old director took to Twitter to express his disappointment over the controversial ‘slapping scene.’
Direk Joey described the young lady’s action as “uncivilized behavior.”
“I just viewed a video going viral on Facebook where a young woman angrily slapped an old taxi driver because of their altercation. Have we reached that point of entitlement where one’s station in life can actually affirm such uncivilized behavior?”
“Regardless of who was right or wrong, no one has the right to slap an old man just because you drive a private car and he is on the road earning a living. Now who is more wrong in this situation?” he added.
On her last tweet, Direk Joey asked his followers what happened to the lady driver named Cherish Sharmaine Interior after her viral video.
“So whatever happened to this woman who verbally abused them slapped an old taxi driver in her blatant display of breeding, arrogance & entitlement? #respectnotrage,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, the old taxi driver named Virgilio Doctor already filed a legal complaint against the young lady driver. According to reports, the 52-year old taxi driver went to LTFRB to give his affidavit about the incident.
