- Hunk actor Derek Ramsay said he has always been a second choice for his movies.
- The 40-year old actor is not expecting another acting award.
As an actor, Derek Ramsay sees no issue being the second choice for the leading man role on MMFF entry “All Of You.” The 40-year old actor revealed that he has never been the first choice on his movies.
“With all my movies, second option talaga ko. I think, I’ve never done a movie na ako ang first option,” he said.
“So I’m perfectly fine. Isang tawag lang ni Atty. Joji (Alonzo) sa akin. I think wala pang two days,” he added.
It was announced before that Quantum Films will reunite “Walang Forever” stars Jennylyn Mercado and Jericho Rosales for 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival. However, Jericho was withdrawn in the cast due to schedule conflicts.
As a result, Derek replaced Jericho in the movie and will serve as reunion project with Jennylyn Mercado. Derek and Jennylyn first worked together in MMFF 2014 entry, “English Only, Please,” where they bagged the Best Actor and Best Actress trophy.
On the other hand, Derek said that he is not expecting another award for this movie.
“Expectation? That’s just a bonus for me. As an actor, we should always work as a team. Kung magkakaroon ng award, I’ll be very, very happy of course. But if not, I’m very, very happy right now kasi, we’re given a very good film,” he said.
