Derek Ramsay stars in “All of You,” an official entry in the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival. Jennylyn Mercado plays as his love interest in the film, under the direction of Dan Villegas.
Derek, then, shared that he got an offer to go international. Although, Derek declined because he likes Philippine cinema better.
In a special screening for “All of You,” an Iflix board member asked Derek if he was willing to go international.
“She said that ‘we need you in the US, we want to get you, we need you to go international.’ Wow, sobrang gandang compliment.”
However, Derek declined saying:
“Tingnan natin. Mas gusto ko dito, eh.”
Then, he continued:
“Philippine cinema is great. I like Philippine cinema.”
Derek also added that he still has further commitments in the Philippines.
“May nga naka-line-up akong pelikula dito for next year with Star Cinema, Atty again, and Kris Aquino – really cool script – so I can’t entertain that for now. If that’s the case.”
