“Parokya NI Edgar” lead singer Chito Miranda recently received bashing over his ‘term of endearment’ to his child Miggy. Netizens were not pleased when Chito called his son “ungas” on his social media post.
On his Instagram post, he expressed how proud he was upon knowing that his son made his first walk.
Wala ako kasi may tugtog kami,” he wrote.
However, netizens expressed their disappointment over the ‘unusual’ calling of a father to his child. The 41-year old singer replied to a comment on his IG post explaining that calling his son “ungas” is his “term of endearment.”
“My uncle calls his children ‘monkeys’. His son is an honor student in Ateneo pero sobrang kengkoy. As in matatawa ka nalang talaga at masasabing ungas talaga ‘tong anak ko. Same with Miggy.
Chito said those who were offended by the term he used are “corny”, “baduy”, and lacks sense of humor.
Wag kang corny. It’s so sad that you see negativity in a positive and loving post,” he ended.
Neri Naig’s husband also took Twitter to slam his bashers.
