- “It’s Showtime” faced grief this afternoon upon learning the death of Hashtags member Franco Hernandez
- Vice Ganda took to Instagram and Twitter his mourning
Although there’s the Anne Curtis and Erwan Heusaff’s wedding at the same day, “It’s Showtime” couldn’t help but feel for the other side of the coin. Just this afternoon, while there were bells ringing for the female host/bride, one of the noontime show’s performers died of drowning in the province.
Franco Hernandez, a Hashtags member, went off to a trip with his girlfriend a fellow performer to Davao, Occidental when they got hit by a strong wave. The incident cause Franco to fall from their electric banca and died before he got to the hospital.
The young dancer called many attention in social media, most from his showbiz friends. One of the very affected ones was TV comedian and host Vice Ganda, who’s known for his vocal support for the Hashtags.
He also shared his shock on Twitter, “Tragic. This is just so heartbreaking. Oh my God!”
Vice wishfully thought that all the information reported were just fake, that the young boy can be seen again on their next episode. However, that’s very unlikely to happen anymore.
Franco passed too soon. His career path could’ve led him into a breakthrough.
