On the latest interview of Miss Universe 2010 4th runner up Maria Venus Raj during the press conference for her show Business Flight, the 29-year old beauty queen-TV host expressed how proud she is for her fellow beauty queen who brought home crowns this year.
Venus denied claims that she started the winning streak of Philippines when she placed 4th runner up in Miss Universe 2010 after years of placement drought.
“Una, hindi po ako ang nagsimula niyan. Marami na naman tayong mga beauty queen na nanalo,” she said.
“Before we had Miriam (Quiambao), Ms. Gloria (Diaz),” she added.
“Again, I’m gonna repeat it, they’re beautiful, they’re capabale of winning, they’re intelligent and ngayon ay sunud-sunod ang panalo ng Pilipinas,” she ended.
The Philippines has once again dominated the beauty contest scene with the victories of Karen Ibascon in Miss Earth 2017 and Winwyn Marquez in Reina Hispanoamericano 2017 .
