Kenneth Medrano gained fame after winning the That’s My Bae: “Twerk It” Dance Contest in Eat Bulaga!
In May last year, Kennet’s photos naked surfaced and immediately went viral. It was reported that the photos came from his old phone that was either lost or sold back in Cebu. When it went viral, he admitted that he wanted to commit suicide. He was traumatized and was planning on jumping off the condominium building where he used to live.
“Naging trauma po yun sa akin. Umabot na ako sa point na gusto ko nang magpakamatay kasi ako lang mag-isa dito sa Manila. Tinawagan ko po yung mommy ko, umiiyak ako, tapos umiiyak din siya. Sabi niya, ‘Anak, huwag mong gawin ‘yan. Nandito lang ako, nandito ang daddy mo. Kung gusto mong puntahan ka namin, pupunta kami.’”
He didn’t go through his plan and instead went to Starbucks just to calm himself down. He stopped using social media for a while to avoid the negative comments that he receives. Kenneth was thankful that Eat Bulaga! didn’t suspend him. He also learned a few lessons on the said issue. He learned not to trust people that easily. And not to take a photo of himself naked.
