Philippine’s bet Rachel Peters strongly finished her journey to the crown as one of the Top 10 finalists. Though she did not make it to the Top 5 round, the 26-year old beauty queen represented the beauty and grace of a Filipina woman.
However, Rachel became emotional after the coronation night. On the Instagram post by @gangalonto, it can be seen her crying in front of her supporters.
“Our queen @rachelpetersx after the @missuniverse 2017 coronation night. Dont cry queen. U have done ur part and you made all pinoy proud, ok ka sa stage, its just the judges has a different bets. And just remind you that u made all pinoy unite sa pag bayanihan vote for you. Mabuhay ka and we are so proud of you. Last November 27, Demi-Leigh Peters of South Africa was crowned as the new Miss Universe by the outgoing queen Iris Mittenaere of France.
