Gain knowledge and courage in the face of danger as we relive the stories of Marawi with Jeff Canoy on “Red Alert” this Wednesday (November 29) at 9:30pm on DZMM TeleRadyo, and after “Bandila” on ABS-CBN and ABS-CBN HD.
Jeff Canoy meets Saipoding Mariga, who sought for his wife, Geraldine in the heat of battle. In his dangerous search, he came across his sister Anissa, who shared how she fled from the line of fire to get help for Geraldine, who suffered a miscarriage. His story is one of those that Jeff will share on “Red Alert” to help viewers see how it is like to be in the middle of a war.
The “Red Alert” anchor joined other journalists who braved Marawi to tell the stories of people affected by the armed conflict. Apart from the usual reports, he shared what he and photojournalist Val Cuenca saw in Marawi in a feature on ABS-CBN News Online, where readers could feel the fear and struggle of Filipinos hiding or escaping from the terrorists.
Jeff also did a documentary with fellow journo Chiara Zambrano, “’Di Ka Pasisiil,” where they captured the courage and heroism of Filipinos in Marawi.
