  • Kapamilya actor-singer Iñigo Pascual was tapped by Disney to sing the “Coco” theme song for its Philippine release.
  • The 20-year old singer-actor felt overwhelmed with the opportunity to sing for a Disney movie.

After Janella Salvador sang the Moana theme song ” How Far I’ll Go.”, another Kapamilya singer was tapped by Disney to sing the theme song of their upcoming movie “Coco.”  In a press release, Disney announced that Iñigo Pascual will sing and appear in the localized music video of “Remember Me.”

“I am honored to sing this song because it is about family and remembering the people we love,” said Iñigo in the press release.

“It reminds us to appreciate the love and sacrifice that our families had to make in order for us to arrive where we are,” he added.

Iñigo’s version of “Remember Me” will be released on VEVO on November 17 while “Coco” is slated to open in Philippine cinemas on November 22.

Disney-Pixar’s “Coco” follows the story of Miguel, a young boy who wants to pursue his dream of becoming a musician like his idol Ernesto de la Cruz despite his family’s generations-old ban on music. Eager to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the colorful land of the dead.
