JU Entertainment Movie and Drama, Inc. is a Philippine company with Korean counterpart. They are going to produce the Filipino version of the famous Korean romantic-comedy series, Boys Over Flowers. GMA Network held auditions last November 25, Saturday.
Boys Over Flowers was from a Japanese manga series with the same story, Hana Yori Dango and was then adapted in Taiwan as Meteor Garden. The story is about a spunky school girl with a scholarship to enter a very exclusive (exclusively for the rich) and expensive academy. The said academy is also a dominion of four arrogantly wealthy male students.
GMA Network announced their casting call through a vide on Instagram with the caption:
“Attention, boys and girls! Ito na ang chance n’yo to be part of the #BoysOverFlowers cast. For the full details and requirements, watch the video or visit GMANetwork.com. #BOFPhAuditions”
The said casting call was a huge success. It was also widely received by many. They also posted a photo on Instagram that used a hashtag, #BOFPhAuditions.
