- “The Legend of Boo-Kini Bottom” – Nickelodeon
Spongebob laughs at Halloween and now the Flying Dutchman is out to scare him by taking his friends. The only way to save them is by scaring the Flying Dutchman back. Watch this special episode of Spongebob Squarepants on October 31 at 1:30PM.
- Howlarious Halloween – Cartoon Network
Cartoon Network’s annual Howlarious Halloween is back dishing out special Halloween episodes and movies along with new episodes of favorite CN cartoons, like “Adventure Time,” “Ben 10,” “Regular Show,” “Scooby Franken Creepy,” “Teen Titans Go,” and “We Bare Bears.” Catch new episodes on at 10:15 AM on weekdays.
- “Lights Out” and “Rings” Premiere – HBO
HBO is premiering two scary movies this weekend in time for Halloween. Sophie (Teresa Palmer) has to uncover a family secret to save her loved ones for a violent spirit in “Lights Out,” premiering October 28 at 9PM.
While a group of students try to rid themselves of Samara’s curse in “Rings,” a sequel to “The Ring.” Watch its premiere on October 29 at 9PM.
- Terror Nights Back-to-Back Specials – Fox Movies
Fox Movies is offering back-to-back specials on Terror Nights featuring the premiere of “Don’t Knock Twice” and the airing of the 2013 remake of “Carrie.” An estranged mother and daughter must piece together clues about mysterious disappearances and the death of an alleged witch to be able to save themselves from the Baba Yaga, a ferocious supernatural being from Russian folklore.
Meanwhile, Chloe Grace Moretz stars as the titular Carrie, a sheltered young woman who discovers she has telekinetic powers and uses it to avenge herself from her tormentors. These movies air on October 31, starting at 9PM.
- Halloween Special – Thrill
A whole day Halloween extravaganza happens on Thrill with “The Conjuring,” “The Sixth Sense,” and “Brothers Grimm.” Demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) must help a family escape a cursed house before it claims one of its members in “The Conjuring.”
Meanwhile, Bruce Willis is a psychologist working hard to help a young patient (Haley Joel Osment) who sees ghosts in, but not all is as it seems in “The Sixth Sense.”
Matt Damon and Heath Ledger play the eponymous siblings in “Brothers Grimm.” Wilhelm (Damon) and Jakob (Ledger) Grimm are con artists who rid the town of supernatural beings which they themselves made. One day they are tasked to get ready as a town desperately needs their help to save themselves from an evil queen witch. Catch this Halloween special on October 31, starting at 11 AM.
- “Pagpag” and “Feng Shui” – Cinema One
Filipino horror movies are also out to get viewers with Cinema One’s screening of “Pagpag,” and “Feng Shui.” Teen King and Queen Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo earn the ire of a dead man when they don’t follow the superstition of pagpag after visiting his wake. They must fend off his violent spirit to save themselves and their loved ones from becoming his next victim in “Pagpag.”
It airs October 31 at 5PM, while “Feng Shui,” the movie that made Kris Aquino the Filipino Scream Queen, airs at 11 PM on the same day. It tells the story of Joy Ramirez (Aquino) who receives good fortune after acquiring a Chinese bagwa. Unfortunately, her good luck comes at the cost of the lives of the people around her.
