Ulysses Lustre, father of Nadine Lustre, finally shared his thoughts about his son’s death. He took to Facebook to greet Isaiah a happy birthday and to share how hard for him as a father to lose his child.
“The lost of a father or a mother is painful, the lost of a son is unbearable,” he started his message.
Ulysses also called out to the youth to be strong and stop hurting themselves. “The demons of depression is devouring our youth. I call out to all sons and daughters to please stop hurting yourselves. Your depression is incomparable to us parents when you do. Life is beautiful. Please bear that in mind.”
Lastly, he greeted his son a happy birthday. “Happy Birthday Ice. We love you so much.”
On his other FB post, Ulysses shared how proud he was upon reading his son’s articles.
“You got me there Ice, so much lessons learned. Even I am not free from depression, thru your writings I’m now more bolder to face it head on. I am proud of you Ice. This tragedy will not end unnoticed. A battlecry for fighting depression will be shouted. And there will be awareness.”
