Empoy Marquez, one of today’s busiest actors, takes a short break from his screen projects to scribble never before shared anecdotes and compile them in his first book under ABS-CBN Publishing, “Bakit Nakakakiliti Ang Bigote?.”
The comedian is excited about his fresh offering as it showcases him in his full spontaneity. He said, “you’ll get to know the real Empoy here. And I hope to make you smile with my stories and knowledge for the brains found in this book.”
He revealed a lot of personal details in his first print venture like his daily rituals, stories about his friends, mentioned his ‘totga’ (the one that got away) and many other tales from his younger years.
The book includes Empoy’s Words for the Day such as ‘once in a blue moon,’ sharing in jest that when he was a kid, he only takes a bath once in a blue moon.
It also contains funny comics, booze drinking and taxi safety tips, graphs and connections, and more. The “Kita Kita” actor even answered exciting questions and gave practical and sometimes hilarious advices.
Another interesting part of the book is the “Empotify” section or suggested playlist with songs such as “Estudyante Blues” by Freddie Aguilar for readers who got their bosses angry and those wishing payday is near, and “High and Dry” by Radiohead for those who are doing their laundry.
Empoy joins ABS-CBN Publishing’s remarkable roster of authors that includes Alex Calleja, K Brosas, Alex Gonzaga, and Vice Ganda.
