“The Spirit of the Glass 2” and “The Ghost Bride” will pit against each other on November 1 play date.
Award-winning director, Jose Javier Reyes posted cryptic post on his Facebook account. Rumors spread like wildfire that “The Spirit of the Glass 2” director was disgruntled over the same play date of his movie and the Star Cinema horror flick, “the Ghost Bride.”
On his series of Facebook post, Direk Joey seems to throw shades to Star Cinema and Regal films.
“Never wish evil for those who hurt you. Let the Universe do its job. Just wait…” he wrote.
The other post read, “Be still. Remain. Never make decisions when your heart is broken & overflowing with disappointment.”
Direk Joey posted his last but meaningful message, “The ones you let into your heart are the same people who you allow to hurt you the most.”
Supposedly, “The Spirit of The Glass 2” of OctoArts and “This Time I’ll be Sweeter” of Regal Films will be having the same play date of November 1. According to sources, Star Cinema talked to Regal Films to have the November 1 play date for Direk Chito Rono’s “The Ghost Bride.”
In movie play date, only two local films are allowed to share the same play date.
As a result, “Spirit of the Glass 2” of Cristine Reyes, Daniel Matsunaga, Benjamin Alves and Maxine Medina will be competing against “The Ghost Bride” starring Kim Chiu and Matteo Guidicelli.
Barbie Forteza and Ken Chan first team-up movie, “This Time I’ll Be Sweeter” will now have a November 8 playdate.
UPDATE: On Twitter, Direk Joey Reyes denied and said, “No, I did not. That’s a personal matter & not about work. Chill.”
