Derek and Bea will be working with Kapamilya actor Paulo Avelino.
Derek Ramsay will set his Star Cinema comeback on the upcoming movie with Bea Alonzo. On an interview of Derek with PUSH.com, the 40-year old actor shared his excitement working with Bea Alonzo after seven years.
“I’m excited when they told me it was Bea. Matagal ko nang gusto makatrabaho si Bea. We worked together both on the big screen and TV and I have to say a lot of what I’ve applied to my career and the roles that I played, I have to give some credit to Bea because she taught me a lot with how she’s treated her career and how she attacks her characters. And I’ve learned a lot from her and again I’m excited to work with her again so that I can learn more,” he stated.
Derek and Bea last worked together in the movie “And I Love You So” (2009) and the teleserye “Magkaribal” (2010).
Derek also sees the movie as a new opportunity to once again grow as an actor.“Our job as an actor is to always learn, always try to better yourself at your craft and this is really exciting because this is the most complicated character I’ll ever play and instead of being nervous about it I’m excited because I’m going to learn and I’m going to get better at my craft after this,” Derek said at the story conference of the movie.
On the other hand, Bea also revealed she missed working with Derek and she believes that this movie will be a great opportunity for the both of them to challenge themselves again.
“Sa totoo lang na-miss ko siyang ka-eksena, na-miss ko na feeling ko mag-i-enjoy kami safirst scene pa lang namin together. First time kasi namin na gagawa ng ganitong klaseng pelikula so it’s extra exciting kasi it’s a totally different, parang feeling ko it’s very new for me and for him together in a movie so it’s extra exciting for me,” she stated.
Derek and Bea will star alongside Kapamilya actor Paulo Avelino in the movie. The upcoming Star Cinema film is under the direction of Direk Ruel Bayani.
