The 45-year old director emphasized that John Lloyd is a good man.
Box-office director Cathy Garcia Molina commented on her close friend, John Lloyd Cruz’ latest controversies. Recently, ABS-CBN released a statement that the 34-year old actor will have his indefinite leave of absence.
“Well, everybody goes through something. Kumbaga, if it’s this path for him to learn, hayaan mo siya, malaking tao na siya,” Cathy said.
Cathy also revealed that she have no chance to meet John Lloyd for a long time however, she keep in touch with John Lloyd through text.
“The last time we talk, it was before these things came out, tapos hindi na siya… Ganu’n ’yon, eh, ’pag may problema hindi nagpaparamdam.”
“Mas nagpaparamdam pa siya ’pag masaya siya. Pero ’pag may problema siya, hindi. I just texted him, pero hindi naman nag-reply,” she shared.
The box-office director understands what John Lloyd is going through. She also revealed that she was not shocked upon knowing her friend’s issue, “Normal na tao si Lloydie. He might be an actor, he might be sikat but he’s human. Parang hindi niya karapatan pero parte ng buhay niya ang pagdaanan ang mga ito.
“Hayaan mo siya, matututo rin siya. And just like all of us, ako, nadapa, bumangon, hayaan mo siya,” she said.
“Ay ako, it’s not for me to judge, he’s a friend, he’s a good friend, I’m sure may dahi-lan kung bakit nagkaganu’n and I’m sure he has the intelligence also para ayusin ’yan at bumangon. At the end of the day, for me, John Lloyd is a good man. He’ll come around,” she added.
