Alisah Bonaobra’s “X factor UK” journey is not yet over!
Tagged as the “comeback queen,” Alisah is set to fight for a spot in the “X Factor UK” as one of the wildcard acts. She was revealed to be one of the four wildcard acts along with Leon Mallet from the boys category, Talia Dean from the overs category and Jack and Joel from the groups category.
“At Six Chair Challenge, I really fought hard just to go through. I never thought that I will sing ‘Bang Bang’ wearing six-inch heels. Judges’ Houses was when Sharon told me I didn’t go through. It’s like my ‘X Factor UK’ [journey] is really over. My mom just told me, ‘If you believe in yourself, the people around will also believe in you.’ Now, I’m a wildcard,” she said.
Upon knowing that she is included in the wildcard list, Bonaobra admitted in the same video that she made the most out of her short time to prepare for her live performance.
And she definitely proved this when she took the stage during the live show, performing Jordin Sparks’ “This Is My Now.” Bonaobra earned a standing ovation from the judges and audience as she hit every high note of the song.
“That song is absolutely perfect for you because this is your now and you deserve to be back on the show. It’s almost like a winner’s song. I love the power ballad with a key change from a great singer. You are a great singer and a great performer. You got great soul,” said judge Louis Walsh.
“You are my little Disney warrior princess. You just karate-chopped all through that song but you did it with grace, with poise, with strength. I freaking adore you. I look at you and I’m like, that’s my little ninja Filipina sister up there,” Judge Nicole Scherzinger commented on her performance.
“Everybody said in this contest that they really want this and that they really need to be here. I know your story. I know what you’ve gone through. With a voice like yours, you are going to be here until the end. I am so happy for you,” Sharon Osbourne believes Bonaobra will be in the competition until the end.
Alisah survived week 1 of the live shows and will continue with her journey on the competition.
