2017 marks the 11th year anniversary of the annual Star Magic Ball, the official night of fun and bonding as the hottest and most-talked about showbiz personalities in ABS-CBN’s talent arm gather to party!
Before the biggest and much-anticipated event takes place, we have put together some a guide for every one on what’s Star Magic Ball all about. Plus, we are also providing you some juicy facts about the previous balls!
1.The Star Magic Ball started out with guests amounting to 200 only.
2. Korina Sanchez and Mar Roxas won the senior category of “Stardust Best Dressed” award during the first-ever Star Magic Ball in 2007. The now husband-and-wife are non-Star Magic artists.
3. The Star Magic Ball had a one-time fashion show event happened at the same time of the party. It was conducted as tribute for iconic Dubai-based Filipino designer Michael Cinco back in 2013.
4. We’ve only watch The Star Magic Ball on television twice: first in 2015 and then in 2016.
5. In 2010, veteran singer Martin Nievera composed and performed a song for Star Magic founder Johnny Manahan titled “All for One, One for all.”
6. The Star Magic Ball only takes place among these hotels: Fairmont, Makati Shangri-La and Intercontinental Hotel.
7. The 11th Star Magic Ball will even be more special since Star Magic, ABS-CBN’s premiere talent arm, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. Expect a one-of-a-kind night!
8. A limited edition coffee table book was once launched at the Star Magic Ball. “Charo and I,” was introduced during the 2015 Star Magic Ball.
9. Star Magic Ball had its first ever microsite in 2016.
10. Bea Alonzo has received the most number of awards for a female artist.
