Tonton Guttierez was allegedly taken out of GMA teleserye “Haplos” because of his upcoming project, ‘The Promise of Forever’.

According to sources, the Kapuso network felt that a conflict of some sort may arise from his work with the Kapamilya network.
Had his character not died, we would’ve seen Tonton Guttierez in both GMA Network and ABS-CBN. Sources claim that Tonton’s character in the Kapuso teleserye “Haplos” was killed so that he could be pulled out of the show.
This is because he also has an upcoming show with the Kapamilya network, “The Promise of Forever”.
It is believed that the Kapuso network felt that his involvement with the upcoming project would be detrimental to his work in “Haplos”.
Although it has been in the pipeline for quite some time already, “The Promise of Forever” took a while to be aired. The said teleserye has aired its firt episode last Monday in the afternoon time slot.
That said, GMA Network’s foresight may have been right.
