TBA Studios has just released the first teaser of “Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral.” Paulo Avelino will reprise his role as the eponymous general, while familiar faces like Ronnie Lazaro, Arron Villaflor, Epy Quizon, Nonie Buencamino, and Ketchup Eusebio are returning as well from “Heneral Luna.” “Heneral Luna” is the most successful historical film in the country’s box-office history, grossing more than P200 million.
“Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral” the sequel to 2015 hit movie “Heneral Luna,” tells the story of Gregorio del Pilar two days after Luna was assassinated. The film will focus mainly on the five months before the Americans launched its major attack against then President Emilio Aguinaldo’s government.
“Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral” will also star Mon Confiado, Empress Schuck, Gwen Zamora, Bret Jackson, Jason Abalos, and Yan Yuzon. It will also feature Alvin Anson, Carlo Cruz, Hans Eckstein, Jojit Lorenzo, Jason Dewey, Arpee Bautista, Roeder Camañag, Karl Medina, Stephanie Sol, Gio Gahol, and Ethan Salvador.
Like “Heneral Luna,” “Goyo” will be directed and written by Jerrold Tarrog.
